Christmas 2008

This was Tucker's second Christmas but his first Christmas with his Daddy:-) It was so nice to be able to spend this special time together as a complete family. I'd like to say that I was a really nice person to be around last year at this time, but I'm not sure I was. I just missed my husband and I think it showed. We're all together now though and I couldn't be any happier. There are times when I am constantly reminded of the war we are engaged in, but through it all- I am grateful to know that peace will reign on this earth again and the only One who can spread unity throughout the world is the Prince of Peace- Our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am truly grateful for His birth, His life, His example, His teachings and His sacrifice. I pray that I always remember Him in everything I do.
One of the great things about living in Utah is being able to spend more time with JC's family. We love living so close to them because we are able to get together often. Before Christmas, we were all able to go up to see the lights at the SLC Temple and afterwards we bombarded Gimi and Pa's room at the Marriott and watched the BYU bowl game (I'm not going to even talk about that).

Tucker was able to have tubby time at the hotel with his cousins!

Every Christmas Eve, JC's family gets together at his grandparents house. I got Tucker dressed up and couldn't resist taking these pictures!!! He's the most handsome little guy in the world:-)

He didn't spend too much time in his cute outfit. I eventually changed him into his pajamas.

Here we are in front of our little Christmas tree. So sad, but it worked for us for many reasons but the two most important were-
1- It wouldn't hurt Tucker if he pulled it over on top of himself
2. Let's be honest. . . . we waited too long and every place in the world and online was out of the kind of tree we wanted.
So we were happy with our little tree this year:-) Luckily we had it left over from our little apartment in California.

Later that morning we headed over to JC's parents house to continue celebrating! Gimi and Pa gave him this adorable rocking horse.

While we were at Gimi and Pa's house, JC's brother- Wyatt (Elder Davis)- called from his mission. It was so good to hear from him and to hear his testimony through the little things he would say and the experiences he would share. We are so grateful for him and all of the missionaries around the world who serving the Lord. I am so blessed to have the gospel in my life.
I love this picture of Wyatt.

Sounds like a wonderful Christmas. That's quite a feat to keep three toddler still long enough to take a pictures and keep them modest. Tucker did look very studly in his Christmas Eve outfit.
