Keeping it to myself. . .

I have a million things I'd love to say about this election (more so on Proposition 8), but I've decided that I'm going to keep it to myself. I might get antsy and actually post my opinion on this year's election in the near future, but for now- I'll just give an update on the Davis Family:-)
So Yes- I voted. I wish I could have been in California to vote YES on Proposition 8 (even though it passed without me), but since we left California (sniffle sniffle) a year ago- I'm now registered in Utah. I was still very happy to vote anyway, and I do love Utah just as much as California. I just miss my McAlpin family. Anyway- so I took Tucker to vote with me. I thought I'd start teaching him how important it is to vote starting now:-)

And here is an update on the past few weeks-

JC and I were lucky enough to have a weekend to ourselves. As much as I hate going even a minute without my little guy- it was nice to be able to drop him off at his Gimi and Pa's house and just spend time relaxing with JC. We had the Marine Corps Ball again this year- this was our 4th ball, and we always have so much fun because they hold these events in the nicest places all over the country.
This picture is of us from the Marine Corps Ball in Vegas at the MGM Hotel back in 2005. I wore the same dress this year and JC, of course, has the same uniform with a little more hardware/ribbons from serving in Iraq. I didn't take as many pictures of us this year as I did then. Oh well!

We had a great time though- and so did everyone else- as you can tell from this picture I took. JC and I were sitting at our table and I looked up and saw a Marine dancing on the table. I haven't seen that in the past years of going to these events so I had to take a picture:-) It's still hard for me to get used to men older than my husband calling him "Sir." I love going to Marine Corps events and admiring all of the men and women who have served our country- It's amazing to me.

JC LOVES Buffalo. . . . Buffalo WINGS!!! Hahaha. . ok not so funny, but the picture is.

Here is my Sara Palin/Tina Fey pose:-) I hope Tucker doesn't turn out to be as big of a nerd as his momma.

The view from our room was AMAZING!!!!

Earlier this month we had a BIG snow fall - so the next morning I put Tucker in his adorable little snow suit and decided to go play in it. JC threw Tucker in the snow and I don't think I have to tell you how upset Tucker was. He was done after that!

JC got a good workout in- Thanks for shoveling!!

And here's a random picture of Tucker after he finished Lasagna or Spaghetti or something with red sauce. I can't remember. GROSS!

And last but not least- my mother-in-law (Cyd- aka "Gimi") had a birthday earlier this month and we celebrated over at JC's grandmother's house. Gimi is an amazing woman and I'm so blessed to have her in my life. She is the ultimate example of class and beauty- she can do anything. Yes- she really can. A little intimidating but very admirable and it gives me something to work towards. I'm grateful we live so close so she can teach me the things she knows- and so Tucker can spend time with her as welll. We love you Gimi!

Hey- we missed you at dinner a few weeks ago! We need to get together again soon! Tucker is darling- I love the snow picture- that is totally how it is- they are soooo excited to play in it, until it actually touches them and they get cold- then it's over!
