Happy 1st Birthday Baby Boy!!

On Monday my precious little angel turned 1!!! This past year has been one of the hardest but one of the best years of my life. I hated not having JC home the first 6 months with Tucker, but the reunion for our little family was unforgettably the sweetest moment I've ever experienced. I feel as though we've been together since Tucker came into this world and I'm so grateful to know that know matter what- we can be together forever:-)

Here are a few things about Tucker to mark his one year birthday-

1- He loves wrestling with his daddy and doesn't mind beating JC up every once in a while. You can tell he thinks he's a big boy when he's around his daddy. I told JC it will be nice to have a body guard in a few years. If I need someone to take JC out- Tucker will take care of me:-)

2- He is always so sweet and gentle with his momma. One time he finished wrestling with his daddy and JC thought he was going to tackle me too, but he came over, grabbed my hand and gave it a huge open mouth kiss:-) My heart melted.

3- He's so patient. There are so many examples I could give that could explain this, but I don't know where to start. He's just a very patient child- NEVER throws any sort of tantrum or screaming fit even when he's tired.

4. He LOVES playing with other kids. The more company he can play with the better. He loves playing with his cousins and his neighbors and he never gets sad or upset when he's around them- even if he gets trampled sometimes, he just loves the company.

5. He LOVES Dogs and Animals- I took him to Barnyard Boo at Thanksgiving point last week and he went crazy on the pony- He loved it!!! He kept rocking back and forth on the pony- I think he wanted to go faster:-) Thanks Hannah and Jen for meeting us there- we had so much fun!

6. If he knows I don't want him to go somewhere in the house or get into any of the drawers in the house- he'll go straight for them just to tease me or make me chase him.


7. He's the best eater in the world. He'll eat any vegetable, fruit, meat, and especially any treat you'll give him.


8. He has been the fastest crawler in the world. He'll be all the way up our stairs before I can get around the corner.



He actually just took his first steps yesterday (2 days after his birthday)!!! I was saying prayers with him and when I opened my eyes to see what he was up to, he was walking across his room!!!

9. He loves books- especially if I do funny voices with the words. He screams with excitement.

10. He hates wearing socks and shoes

11. He has always loved having water poured on his head while taking a bath. It's hilarious!

12. He loves it when I brush his teeth. (he has 4 up top and 2 on bottom)

13. He's super tough. He maybe cried 15 seconds when he got his one year shots.

14. He loves to let his mommy and daddy know that he loves us. Every night before he goes to bed, we say prayers with him and then I do my best to sing him songs before he gets into his crib and as I sing, he lays his head on my shoulder. It is one of my most favorite times of day.
Poor little guy is going to think anyone can sing after listening to me every night.

He loved having help from his cousins and friends opening his gifts! He couldn't have done it without them!










I loved making his cupcakes and train cake- although I was rushed and got sloppy on the decorating of the train:-) Oh well- I don't think Tucker cared!


That morning he opened one gift on our bed. We had so much fun celebrating this little guy's birthday! We love you sweetheart!!!!
