I DON'T THINK SO! If you didn't see the United States of America's 4x100M Men's Free Relay team kick France's butt- I highly recommend you clicking on this link. Bad idea to trash talk our guys- it just fuels them to win:-) In your face France!
I recorded this event last night and watched this amazing competition when I woke up this morning- Unbelievable!
Now I have to say- I claim the title "World's least Athletic Human Being," but I do love watching the Olympics. I remember doing a book report in first grade on an olympic athlete I had never even watched but had heard so much about even more than 10 years after being the first gymnast to score not only a perfect 10, but seven of them! I loved going to my gymnastic classes because of Nadia Comaneci.
Speaking of gymnastics- when the olympics came to Atlanta, Georgia- my home state, I had never been so moved by any moment in the history of any competition as I had been when I watched the United States women's gymnastics team take the gold thanks to Kerri Strug-taking the last vault on a sprained ankle and landing perfectly- AMAZING!
I could go through so many more competitions I've been lucky enough to watch- Michael Johnson, Rulon Gardner- who beat the unbeatable Russian, 1992 Men's USA Basketball Dream Team, Misty May and Kerri Walsh- in Athens and now, Michael Phelps in 2004 and now in 2008, the list could go on and on, but I want to highlight the people JC and I are keeping an eye on during these olympic games.

Michael Phelps- of course!

USA redeem Team of Basketball- looks like we might be back in the games- keep your fingers crossed:-)

Misty May and Kerri Walsh

Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal

Natalie Coughlin

Tyson Gay

Women's Gymnastics Team

Venus and Serena Williams

and my favorite olympian this year- Darra Torres!

By the Way- this is a true symbol of Peace! An Olympian from Georgia and an Olympian from Russia. Thank goodness for the Olympic athletes who set good examples:-)

Trash prendre leur arrogance et de mettre l'endroit ou le ne brille pas!!!
How unsportsmanlike of me.....
Vive les Etats-Unis afin que nous puissions continuer a la peau de l'ego francais.
Seriously, the Olympics have been amazing this year! I have even teared up a few times. So glad you are appreciating them as well and thank you for putting those French Frogs in their place. :)
I hadn't seen that pic of the Georgian and the Russian. Very neat.
We too love all things Olympic. Exciting games this year!

Were you actually at the Kerri Stugs vault? I tried to get tickets forever, but all we got was Soccer. Still, it was exciting. Can't wait for the Women's All-Around.
