Remembering 9/11

Remembering why we are fighting this war on terror- JC and I are so blessed to live in such an amazing country where we are able to practice the American ideals of individual liberty.
This evening JC and I celebrated the adoption of his battalion into the Laguna Hills Community. It was a wonderful ceremony that allowed us to reflect on the great sacrifices bestowed upon our country as we remembered the heroes of 9/11. We were able to remember those who gave their lives to help save others that day. It was a special evening of remembrance as well as an evening of appreciation to the 3rd Battalion 5th Marines from the Laguna Hills Community.
Thank you to all of those who serve others-the Police Force, Fire Departments, Paramedics, Doctors, Military, and the everyday citizen who steps up.
The following pictures are from the event that took place this evening. The second to last picture is of the Mayor and those who serve with her cutting a cake that was donated by a local bakery. The bottom picture is of JC and the Mayor of Laguna Hills.

I have so many deep feelings about 9/11. I appreciate all of the sacrifices you and your family are making on this country's behalf.

That is great to attend such a wonderful event. My dad is in the military and I was always taught to honor our country.

I admire you both for the sacrifice you make for our country. You must have an amazing husband to serve so willingly.

My sister Michelle posted a great video on her blog in remembrance of 9/11. I think you'd like it.
