Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! - A motto we have never failed to live up to- that's for sure! Every time we get together- we always have fun. Although I do have to say that it was hard not having all of the girls together this weekend. It wasn't the same without our friends Kelli Granum, Becky Kimball, Ashlee, Jenny, Tiffany and Mandy. We really wanted you girls to be there but we fully understood that it's not always going to be possible to have every girl come to everything that is planned. I just want you to know how much we missed you! We love you girls so much!

Thursday

So Thursday evening was an adventure because I ended up going to every airport in the southern part of California- From the Long Beach Airport to the John Wayne (orange county) Airport on up to good ol' LAX! I didn't mind at all though because I was too excited to see my friends. After picking up Kati- who was last to come in, we came back to my apartment and stayed up talking until almost 4am! We had a lot of catching up to do :-)

Friday

The next morning we woke up and met Mikelle and Becky S. at Salt Creek Beach. This Beach is beautiful- a little touristy but not too bad- it was fun!

Then we went home, got ready and left for Irvine Spectrum- a fun outdoor mall that is close to Mikelle's apartment. We ended up doing a little bit of shopping and then ate at Cheesecake Factory and happened to sit next to a group of older LDS women who were having their Girl Weekend! One of the ladies came up to us and asked us if we were LDS. I thought it was pretty funny.

Once we got home that night, I planned a little birthday celebration for all of the girls because they each have a birthday that happens to be in August or September - then Mikelle's birthday is in November so we celebrated hers too. It was a fun little birthday party of eating cake and opening presents!

Saturday

Saturday morning we had reservations for brunch at Las Brisas in Laguna Beach. It was such a fun morning because my sweet friends had planned a beautiful Baby Shower for me while we were at this wonderful restaurant! We had such a good time and I loved being able to celebrate this special time in my life with my amazing friends who are so thoughtful! I really appreciated Katrina and her new baby Chance taking time from their family vacation in New Port to be with us that morning- love you Kat! I can't thank my friends enough!!!

After brunch we walked down to the beach and spent most of the day relaxing by the ocean. Then we walked around the main streets of Laguna and after a few stores we were ready to go home.

We were going to go to a movie but decided we just wanted to stay up and talk before everyone had to leave the next day. It was fun because Mikelle pulled out her college photo albums and that was crazy- good times! We realized how much fun we had together in college and we know how blessed we are to have stayed good friends over the past 9 almost 10 years and always will!
