This past week JC and I decided to fly up to Utah because he finally had a few days of leave before his battalion starts training out in the California desert at the end of this month. As always, we had a blast with the Davis side of our family!
Tuesday- July 3rd, we woke up early to watch the hot air balloons take off. It was fun watching our niece Ashlen as they filled the balloons- She's so cute!

On Wednesday July 4th, we went to a picnic in the afternoon that JC's great aunts host every year and later that evening we were able to go to Stadium of Fire and watch the famous country duo- Brooks and Dunn. I have loved them since I started listening to country music back in the 5th or 6th grade. They are one of the reasons I started listening to country music, so I was excited when I found out Brooks and Dunn were performing. JC wasn't as enthusiastic as I was, but he endured it well. He wanted to take his ipod, but I told him that would be rude. He's a good sport! Other than the excitement of watching Brooks and Dunn, it is always nice to see the tribute paid to the men and women serving our country. I had a breakdown moment when they showed video of men and women leaving their families to go overseas- only because I realized that moment isn't too far away for us.

On Thursday- July 5th, JC and I decided to spend some time by ourselves because this will be our last bit of down time before he takes off, so we decided to spend the night and relax up in Park City! We had so much fun!

Friday July 6th, we drove back to Provo and went on an outing with Grammy and Grandpy to the driving range. JC's grandpy is an amazing golfer and spends most of his days golfing down at Riverside. I think every person we passed knew who he was. We love spending time with them! Thanks for the pointers Grandpy! (And. . just in case you are wondering, my tummy did not get in the way. . I was actually hitting better than usual and that might not be the best thing- Do I need a tummy to do well in golf? No, I just think I had a good coach that evening!)

And to wrap the week up, we spent Saturday evening with the entire family at Sundance watching the Utah symphony. Thank you Davis Family- We had a great time!!! We love you!

Beth! I was google-ing pics of Sundance for my blog (because we forgot our camera up there) and I linked into this! Crazy. It was fun to bump into you up at Sundance. And now to see this and catch up on Rae Lynn too - it's great.
Good luck soaking up every second with your hubby before he leaves.
PS - I played the best golf of my life when I was pregnant!
